Made with the amino acid L-Tyrosine to help with the production of Dopamine, Adrenaline and Norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters can affect behaviour when depleted.

Oregano
Oregano is rich in phenolic compounds and has antibacterial and antifungal properties to support a more balanced gut microbiome. Oregano has a stimulating smell which is appealing to horses and helps increase palatability.
Thyme
Thyme is rich in phenolic compounds and acts as an antioxidant which can help reduce oxidative stress in the nervous system and support digestive balance. Thyme mixes well with Oregano to make an appealing and palatable taste.
Flax Seed Powder
Flax Seed is rich in soluble fibre, particularly mucilage which forms a gel like coating when mixed with digestive fluids acting as a barrier against stomach acid. Flax is one of the best plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid which can support the health of the brain and nervous system.

Yes! Calmer Bites™ are a great way top up levels of L-Tyrosine if you horse has been stressed and depleted their L-Tyrosine levels (which can lead to behaviour issues). They are a handy bite size treat, perfect for keeping on the lorry. Feed 1-2 Calmer Bites™ 1 hour before required.
What’s the difference between Calmer Bites™ & Cool Bites™?
Calmer Bites™ and Cool Bites™ are made with very similar ingredients and work in the same way. The main difference is the flavour, in which case, Calmer Bites™ come in 3 flavours (Original – Fenugreek, Ginger and Oregano & Thyme) and Cool Bites™ are made with Peppermint and Garlic.
I’m not sure my horse will eat them?
We offer a Variety Pack which includes all four flavours, so your horse can try them all and chose which they like best!
Feeding Guidelines
Feed 1-2 Calmer Bites™ 1 hour before required. May be topped up every 3 hours.
Can also be fed the 2-3 days consecutively leading up to the potentially exciting or stressful situation.
Over time, your horse should gain confidence and need them less.
Can be fed alongside Calmer PRO™.
Contains Molasses. For horses with Metabolic issues feed Calmer PRO™ instead.
For best results, store in a cool dry place in an airtight container & use within 6 months of opening.
