Lami Health™ is a complementary supplement for horses who are sensitive to seasonal pasture changes throughout the year. Packed with amino acids, vitamins and minerals to help manage a compromised blood flow to the hoof. Low in sugar and starch (Total 12.13%).
Formulated with ingredients that support blood flow and vascular health, including L-Arginine, Citrus Bioflavonoids, Manganese Gluconate & Zinc. A healthy blood flow is important when managing hoof related challenges due to metabolic conditions.
Includes natural antioxidants that help neutralise free radicals in the body and help manage oxidative stress.
High in B vitamins, to help support metabolism.
Can be fed before and during grass flushes to support a healthy blood flow for horses on restricted grazing and diet. Key ingredients include;
L-Arginine
L-Arginine is converted in the body into Nitric Oxide, a key molecule that results in blood vessels widening. By improving blood flow, tissues receive more oxygen and nutrients, which supports metabolism and better circulation. L-Arginine can also help stimulate insulin release from the pancreas, helping move glucose (sugar) from the bloodstream into cells to be used for energy.
Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate
Zinc is an essential trace mineral which has antioxidant properties, helping neutralise free radicals. This is vital for the health of the vascular system, helping maintain the integrity of blood vessels. Zinc is involved in many enzymatic reactions including those related to insulin function, carbohydrate & protein metabolism and hormonal regulation.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, helping to neutralize free radicals. Horses with metabolic disorders often experience increased oxidative stress, which can effect insulin resistance and cellular damage. Vitamin E helps protect cells, including muscle and liver cells, from oxidative damage.
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 is vital for the metabolism of amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates and fats, helping the body use glucose and fats more efficiently. B6 helps to maintain vascular health by supporting the breakdown of homocysteine (an amino acid byproduct which can damage blood vessels). B6 supports the form of healthy hemoglobin and Nitric Oxide regulation to help overall blood flow.
FAQ’s
When is the best time to feed Lami-Health™?
Lami-Health™ is ideal to be fed before or during grass flushes to support a healthy blood flow for horses on restricted grazing and diet.
We would always recommend consulting your vet first if you are concerned about your horses blood flow or metabolic issues.
How long should my horse stay on Lami-Health™ for?
You can feed Lami-Health™ as part of a short or long-term feeding plan.
Should I split the daily amount over two feeds?
It is recommended that your horse has its maintenance amount in one feed, so for a 500kg horse, you need to use 1 scoop into one feed and for a 600kg horse, 2 scoops into one feed. Do not split the maintenance dose into two feeds. 2 scoops per day = 2 scoops in one feed.
For loading doses (the first 3-5 days of feeding), you need to use the required dosage into two separate feeds (morning & evening).
I’m not sure my horse will eat it?
Samples are available so that you can ensure your horse is happy to eat it. Just call one of the team on 01184 676715 to discuss.
