Product Info
Equine Exceed Electrolytes is a full spectrum electrolyte that helps maintain electrolyte balance.
Electrolytes can benefit your horse during hot weather, during hard work, or while traveling.
Electrolyte minerals have important roles in the horse’s body including helping maintain fluid balance and circulatory function, facilitate muscle contractions, trigger nerve functions and maintain the body’s acid-base balance.
Electrolytes can be used to encourage drinking through triggering the thirst mechanism supporting rehydration and helping replace lost minerals during the process of sweating.
Garlic is included for its expectorant properties helping support respiratory health and also improves palatability.
Equine Exceed Electrolytes provides a complete and balanced electrolyte formula, including the important essential minerals:
Sodium Chloride
Sodium Chloride (salt), is a vital nutrient for horses, playing a crucial role in nerve and muscle function, maintaining hydration, and supporting digestion, kidney, lung, and heart health. It's a key electrolyte that horses lose through sweat, particularly during exercise.
Potassium Chloride
Potassium plays a crucial role in ensuring the correct functioning of the nervous and muscular systems, whilst also regulating fluid balance, and overall cellular health in horses. Potassium is naturally lost in horses through sweat during exercise or stress.
Magnesium
Magnesium is essential for muscle contraction and relaxation. It works alongside calcium, potassium, and sodium to maintain normal neuromuscular function. When horses sweat, they lose these electrolytes, and magnesium oxide helps replenish magnesium stores efficiently.
Calcium Chloride
Calcium works closely with magnesium, sodium, and potassium to maintain neuromuscular stability and cellular function helping maintain normal muscle function during heavy work or recovery.
