UVE PRO™ is formulated for horses and ponies with compromised eye health.
Includes vitamins, antioxidants and natural anti-inflammatories which deliver the nutrients to help manage eye health and conditions. UVE PRO™ can be fed as an ongoing maintenance supplement or short-term, during periods of symptoms.
Ideal during the brighter months when the UV index is high or for horses prone to runny eyes.
Includes targeted ingredients including Eyebright, Vitamin A & E and Vitamin B12.
Eyebright
Eyebright is rich in flavonoids, tannins and iridoid glycosides which have anti-inflammatory properties and can help manage mucus production around the eyes and sinuses.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is essential for the health of the eyes. It is a critical component of rhodopsin, a pigment in the retina which helps horses see in low light conditions. Vitamin A also helps the production of epithelial cells, which form the outer layer of the cornea and conjunctiva. This in turn helps maintain the moisture balance on the eyes surface, supporting the ocular immune defence.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant, helping neutralise free radicals in the body. The eyes can be vulnerable to oxidative stress due to factors such as UV light. Vitamin E is essential for supporting nerve cells, including the optic nerve, alongside supporting a balanced immune system.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell formation, supporting oxygen delivery. Vitamin B12 is also vital the support of the nervous system (including the optic nerve), maintaining myelin - the protective sheath around nerves.

UVE PRO™ is a natural alternative as part of an ongoing management feeding programme for horses with persistent eye discomfort. The inclusion Vitamin A helps the production of epithelial cells, which form the outer layer of the cornea and conjunctiva, helping maintain the moisture balance on the eyes surface.
This effective formula is successfully used by many owners especially during the brighter months when the UV index is high or their horse has persistent eye related symptoms such as runny eyes or discharge.
How long should my horse stay on UVE PRO™?
Feed as part of a short course during periods of symptoms or as part of a long-term feeding plan as a maintenance supplement.
Horses that need additional support can be fed Bute-EZ™ alongside, which is formulated with natural anti-inflammatories.
Should I split the daily amount over two feeds?
It is recommended that your horse is fed its maintenance amount in one feed - do not split over two feeds. To find out your horse’s daily requirements, see the feeding guidelines below.
For loading doses (the first 3-5 days of feeding), feed the required amount twice daily.
I’m not sure my horse will eat it?

Feeding Guidelines
1 serving = 18g (35ml Scoop)
Maintenance:
Under 500kg ½ - ¾ scoop once a day
500 kg – 550 kg 1 - 1½ scoop once a day
550kg – 600kg+ 1½ - 2 scoops once a day
First 3 - 5 days feed twice daily
For best results, mix with feed, store in a cool dry place in an airtight container & use within 6 months of opening

Complementary feed supplement for horses
I’ve only been using the UVE PRO for 3 weeks and I think the photo speaks for itself! My 24 year old horse has uveitis and is blind in one eye, without his UV mask his eyes are usually very watery. I came across this product after a recent flare up and I’ve been so impressed. Although my horse wears a mask whilst turned out, he’s an older boy and I’m always nervous to use a mask during exercise, as I don’t think he sees quite so well with it. I’m now able to ride him without his mask and his eyes look great. After years of battling with uveitis I’m so happy I’ve found this product, I’ll be recommending it to everyone I know!

My horse has only been on the supplement for 2 weeks, so far so good. He usually has a flare up every 5 months. So time will tell.
Last autumn my horse come in with a red eye, vets were called and it was diagnosed with conjunctivitis, he said no swelling no weeping just change in colour! After vet had come and checked multiple times, he said he thinks his eye might possibly always have this slight change.
I looked at supplements online, and found this just to see if it could help in any way!
